Inevitably some problems can only be resolved with the design of a unique size or sealing arrangement. Advanced Sealing Solutions works closely with its suppliers to optimise such developments ensuring long-term seal performance and ready availability. Similarly for those applications or customers requiring unitised bolt on assemblies or packages we work with leading component suppliers to provide optimum total solutions.
We have much experience of integrating our sealing products with other components, to save space and weight. As a result of this trend we have evolved great expertise in the manufacture of light sectioned seals for the bearing industry. One recent example was the development of a large diameter light sectioned finger spring seal as shown providing a more compact efficient seal than the traditional garter sprung design previously used. This would not have been possible without state of the art moulding technology and industry leading process controls.
Seals concepts such as the L2M-TE are set to revolutionise the application of high-speed lip seals, benefiting from centrifuged lubricant rather than suffering as a result of it. This same seal concept has also recently been applied to Z Mill bearings permitting improved bearing performance in one of the most heavily loaded applications around.
At the other extreme, bolt on semi-static bellows type seals have been designed for construction equipment. These seals provide increased lubrication periods and primary protection of self-aligning plain bearings.
This recently introduces narrow sectioned seal not only offered high levels of sealing efficiency but it is simple to install and yet cost effective. Applied to a demanding off road application an integrated finger spring provides a robust yet flexible seal lip protected by the dust lip and added PTFE for increased wear resistance.
