High Performance Lip Seals
Lip seal design, their mounting, adjacent bearing types, shaft and housing stiffness and primary protection if required, can all be critical factors in the complex system affecting seal performance. This is in addition to the method of lubrication and operating temperatures that influence material selection. With so many variables seal design and quality become of paramount importance. Advanced Sealing Solutions specialises in resolving such problems when supplying:

This type of seal is ideal for harsh abrasive environments and not suited to lip seals:
LST is a revolutionary technology designed to improve hydrodynamic lubricant films generated between two sliding surfaces. When applied to mechanical seals LST can transform the performance in the severest of applications.
Many common sizes of unbalanced mechanical seals are now available with LST |
We can treat most types and makes of mechanical seals. |
LST can also be applied to many other sliding applications. |

These are the most common type of lip seal in use today. Comprising a metal case totally covered in elastomer, thousands of different sizes are available. They are manufactured in most industrialised countries, but often to dubious quality standards. We only supply parts made in Europe to the highest specifications to ensure trouble-free application. |
Unlike traditional packings elastic or flexible designs have an elastomeric core. Rather than fight against shaft movement and deflections they move in sympathy with it, significantly increasing life and reliability. |
